Five Delights

In 5 delights I will highlight every Tuesday a list of five things that brighten up my day a little. Gadgets, hotspots or other little things that cheer me up.

T Eten en Drinken

In Amsterdam on Roetersstraat, hidden under the trees, you will find cafe T Eten en Drinken (T Food and Beverages). A very cozy place with an inviting living room where you can relax and enjoy all the delicious things they over. At T you can enjoy a quiet breakfast with a fresh juice and a newspaper, or grab a (quick) lunch. It is a great place to meet up with friends for a cup of tea with a piece of homemade cake, or use the free Wi-Fi and browse the internet or work with a cup of coffee. In short, T offers you ‘the home away from home’ feeling and its one of my favorite hotspots!

Christmas with Kaak XL

kerst-met-kaak
The Eternal Night Café – Christmas with Kaak XL is a theatrical evening that promises to be absurd, humorous, musical and melancholic. You either sit at a table or you play part in the audience on stage in the television studio of Frederick Kaak, the (a bit) forgotten Dutch television presenter from the 90s. During the show there are several intermissions which will allow you to grab a drink and some snacks at the bar. Guaranteed a fun evening out during cold winter days! So order your tickets in advance.

BOOM

boom-amsterdam
BOOM is a fresh restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the Ooosterpark. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and serves delicious dishes with seasonal fresh products. They also serve good coffee, lots of special beers, fine wines, but also ‘bitterballen’ (a Dutch meat-based snack)and other snacks. Hmmmm, let’s go!

Copper fever

As you might have notices, I’m a huge fan of the copper colour! My heart skipped a couple beats when I saw these cool items from Samsøe & Samsøe. My favorite brand with my favorite color = perfection.

Champagne Campaign

Last week, the ‘Champagne Campaign’ pop-up store at the Frederik Hendriklaan 132 officially opened its doors. During the opening guest were able to taste a selection of six different champagnes of the small houses, which, however, are not inferior to the big brands. In these small houses, families have been working together for generations to make their own champagne. These affordable champagnes can be bought in this first champagne pop-up store in South of Holland. The pop-up store is open until mid January 2015. And if you buy three bottles of champagne, you will receive a gift: a small can of caviar. Cool!

What are your delights this week?
