Menspiration #7

Because men also enjoy living the luxurious lifestyle, and travelling, we’ve decided to have a weekly ‘menspiration’ segment. From style advice to new men essentials, beauty and gadgets. Inspiration for stylish appearences on all occasions, gift recommendations and all the things men like to do on a trip.

The New Hasselblad Stellar

Hasselblad is possibly the most iconic camera brand in the world. Last month Hasselblad expanded its compact camera line with the Stellar II. A model that was not designed to be judged against other cameras, but was rather conceived and exclusively crafted for Alicionados, Collectors and Connoisseurs. The new Wi-Fi model has a 20.2 megapixel camera and can capture beautiful images in almost any light. For the camera’s luxury grip you can choose from carbon fibre, olive wood, padouk, and walnut. It is a great camera for someone who appreciates style, enjoys luxury and want something that is highly functional. The Stellar II is priced at approximately €1,650.

Eastpak X Jean Paul Gaultier

Lifestyle brand Eastpak and iconic designer Jean Paul Gaultier teamed up to create an artistic collection, to help in the fight against AIDS. Gaultier, inspired by Japanese vintage jackets, put his own spin on one of the backpacks. The result is a one-of-a-kind creation, recycled from three embroidered silk bomber jackets from the forties. A convertible, wearable, all-in-one jacket slash backpack combo, which can be worn as an all in one piece. But also as a backpack alone, by stuffing the jacket portion into the bag. You can also participate in the auction. But hurry, it ends in 9 days and the current leading bid is €1550.

Bever: Snowtech

As winter approaches the weather is getting rougher and colder. For many this is the beginning of the most beautiful time of the year, seeking out adventurous activities in the mountains. Experiencing the adrenaline, the wind, the jumps, the height and the ultimate feeling of freedom. But preparing for a winter sports trip might be demanding. Besides comfortable and stylish clothing, that are equipped with advanced weather protection technology, new demands are being made. As one wishes to stay connected with friends and family back-home, while being high up in the mountains. For those who are interested, now you can share the speed of your last downhill ride directly with your friends on your Facebook page and post pictures of the magical atmosphere on top of the snowy mountains on Instagram. For these kind of outdoorsmen and women, Bever launched this winter the Snowtech: a selection of innovative products that allows skiers and snowboarders to stay connected with home and the online community during their winter holidays.

My favorite is the Oakley Airwave Skibril 1.5. These goggles offer a combination of worl-class performance, protection, and comfort with a heads-up display that lets you view incoming calls and texts from your Iphone. You can also find your location with preloaded maps and track your friends in your group. Moreover, you can measure your performance with sensor information that includes altitude, speed, and vertical descent data, and view jump analytics that show number of jumps and airtime. All this information can be shared with your friends on Facebook. The other cool thing is that you can see Facebook messages in real time while you’re on the hill, and respond to them quickly via configurable, preset messages on the Airwave display. But there are many more other amazing products for your winter holiday on the Bever website, so check it out!
