Five Delights

In 5 delights I will highlight every Tuesday a list of five things that brighten up my day a little. Gadgets, hotspots or other little things that cheer me up.

Cookbook

Cookbooks are a lot of fun! Especially those at stores like Mendo, where the cookbooks are filled with wonderful recipes, stunning glossy photos, and could easily pass for coffee table books. But are those wonderful recipes also easily prepared by a mainstream kitchen amateur? The same question was asked at Mendo, the results were captured in a fun and interesting blog post about the adventures in the kitchen. Cool!

Movember

It’s November again, and thus: Movember. Each year this month the Movember foundation challenges men to grow a moustache, in order to spark conversation and raise funds for its men’s health programs. So far, more than 4 million moustaches have been grown worldwide, and they won’t stop growing as long as serious men’s health issues exist. So go on, encourage your neighbor or colleague to grow that mo!

100% Gift

Sometimes it’s hard with all those birthdays and parties, always hoping to find the right gift for the occasion. Especially these coming months we also have Santa Claus and Christmas, and a lot of shopping to do. With that thought in mind, mo’media decided to make it this winter a bit easier. Namely, by wrapping 100% city guides – Barcelona, Berlin, London, New York, Paris and Rome – in a nice gift box along with the 100% Travel Journal and three beautiful postcards of the cities. Anne already had the chance to test the city guide on her trip to Berlin already and was very excited about it. So this is a real gift idea!

Colette X Nixon

For the third year in a row, the French concept store Colette and Nixon (the American watches, accessories and audio brand) joined forces and launched a beautiful wrist adornment on the market. It is simple, timeless and very greedy making!

van Straaten

In December Galerie Mokum is the scene of a special exhibition. From December 7 to 28, there will be a sales exhibition of over 150 original ink drawings of the Dutch cartoonist Peter van Straaten. He is famous in the Netherlands for the series Agnes, his political drawings in Vrij Nederland, and his erotic drawings and cartoons for Het Parool and De Volkskrant. Will be cool to see it!

What are your delights of this week?
