Salone del Mobile is one of the most popular events during spring in Milan. Thousands of pairs of hungry eyes from the creative world come to the city to fulfill their hunt for design. It’s an excellent showcase for creativity that presents every year more grains: from the acclaimed designer to the architecture student, all consider it an essential stage in one’s career.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano was launched in 1961, with its original focus on Italian furniture. But this year, from April 9 to 14, Italian fashion labels like Marni, Armani, Versace and famous leather house Hermes will also all be present, among others, at the annual exhibition. Fashion houses producing lines for the home are featured alongside those who want to experiment with design through installations, products and new collaborations. COS – the Swedish H&M sister, for example, has a pop-up concept store in collaboration with French design duo Bonsoir Paris.
