The famous luxury department store Selfridges in London will open a Drive Through. It will allow shoppers to pick up items they’ve ordered online, without even having to get out of the car.
The company hopes to make all of its products – except perishable foods – available online by the end of the year and the new service is expected to be up and running by January 2014. The great thing is, you don’t have to pay for parking or delivery service because after ordering your luxurious goods, they will be brought to your car by the department store’s staff. Selfridges already offers a “click-and-collect” service, whereby customers can order items online then go to the story to pick them up, but this drive through will add an extra luxurious option for online buyers.
