Volt

In the centre of the Pijp, nearby the Albert Cuyp Market, you can find restaurant Volt. The place was a lamp store for years before it became the eatery it is now. Its minimalistic interior gives a warm, homey feel and the big windows and cosy couch at the entrance make you want to pop in any time of day. Amsterdam is not known for good service in restaurants, but this one is a real exception: the staff is super friendly. They really make an effort in letting you enjoy your evening.

Added bonus: when the weather is good, you can enjoy your delicious meal outside.

Trendy organic

The french fusion menu of Volt is 99% organic, fresh fish and organic meat is their specialty. The chef, Rick van der Meer, is famous because of his use of seasonal products. There’s a three-course menu that changes daily with fresh ingredients, this way they are able to serve ingredients of that specific season.

What’s good? The staff is friendly and the prices are affordable
Extra’s: Volt is open from 4 p.m. and because of that a good way to end the day or start the weekend with some really lovely home-made bites and drinks.
