Luxury lovers, eat your heart out. 2013 is going to be the year of great classy hotel openings. To make it easy for you we made a top 10, so you can add them to your bucket list.

1. L’Apologee – Courchevel

This hotel belongs to the Oetker Collection (known from Le Bristol and the famous Hotel du Cap) and will open on 11/12/13. The hotel will have 33 suits, 22 rooms, 1 penthouse and 1 chalet and a private ski lift for guests. In the restaurant you can find two-star Michelin chef Yannick Franques, what else could you wish for?

2. Mahali Mzuri – Kenya

Another luxurious safari experience by Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition. This luxury camp covers 12 tents with catering and ensuite bathroom and it is placed perfect for experiencing the annual great migration. They also offer spa treatment and guided tours.

3. Cheval Blanc Randheli – Maldives

40 minutes by private sea plan from male, you will finde Cheval Blanc Randheli on Noonu Atoll. This resort has 45 villa’s by architect Jean-Michel Gathy. The restaurant is overseen by three-star chef Yannick Alléno and the spa offers exclusive treatments by Guerlain.

4. Four Seasons Lion Palace – St. Petersburg

The Four Season Lion Palace opened in April, in the former 19th century Lobanov-Rostovsky residence in the historic Admiralteysky district. It offers 177 rooms and 26 suits with views over Saint Isaac’s Cathedral, Alexandrovksy Garden and the landmark Admiralty. They have the luxury of a glass-topped spa, so it will be definitely worth a visit.

5. Shangri-La – London

The 310 metres high lofty building that hosts the Shangri-La Hotel in London was designed by Renzo Piano. The hotel covers the 34-52 floors above the London South Bank and offers 185 deluxe guestrooms and 17 suites, all with a better view than you could ever imagine.

6. The Peninsula – Paris

This will be the first hotel in Europe of this collection and it will open near the Arc de Triumph at the end of 2013. It will be located in the beautiful authentic building that formerly hosted the Hotel Majestic on Avenue Kleber on the Champs Elysées. We couldn’t think of a better place to stay in Paris.

7. Mandarin Oriental – Pudong

This luxurious hotel opened in March as little sister of the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. Located on the banks of the Huangpu river in the middle of Pudong’s financial district, this hotel offers 362 rooms on walking distance of the Shanghai Stock exchange.

8. Banyan Tree Kerala

This will be the group’s first resort in India, located on the private island Kerala and only accessible with a private boat. The architecture is inspired by Kathakali art and traditional Keralan woodwork. The resort really is a paradise.

9. Orient Express – Santa Barbara

This March the Orient Express opened in El Canto in Santa Barbara. The old iconic El Canto hotel was restored in all it’s well known glory. There are now 92 California style bungalows, an outdoor swimming and boutique spa. The place breathes undeniable glamour and romance with it’s beautiful architecture and landscapes.

10. Grace Cafayate, Argentina

South America is a place to watch when it comes to luxurious vacations. This spring the Grace Cafayate opens in Argentina, in the heart of a great wine country. The hotel also offers acces to la Estancia de Cafayete, the largest 18 hole golf course of Argentina. Definitely a place worth visiting.
