Traveltip: Cafe Dior

Attention Dior fans and hotspot lovers! Yannick Alléno, the Three Star Michelin chef, has re-opened the Dior des Lices for the 4th year in Saint Tropez. You may relax in the ambiance of luxury from May to October from 9am to 10pm, in the garden of the boutique. Enjoy a high tea or stylish lunch in this dreamy setting!

Formerly, the beautiful garden of the Christian Dior resort flagship store was accessible only to the fashion elite. However, since the opening of the chic pop-up restaurant, it has been accessible by the public. The luxury restaurant is settled in the intimate atmosphere of the gardens sculpted by Peter Wirtz. The café’s interior mirrors the elegant style as found in-stores and is decorated in signature color dove grey. The style reflects a composition of femininity and modernity.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner served on beautiful Dior bone china. On the menu you will find light summer-season dishes made from ingredients from the best suppliers and farmers around. For the dishes on the menu, Yannick Alléno draws inspiration from the world of Haute Couture and the garden of the Dior boutique. The desserts are inspired by the traditional summer festival, known as La Bravade de Saint-Tropez. Each dish is “designed” to reflect creativity and to stand out from the crowd.

Yannick Alléno recommends trying out his favorite dish le calissons, a reinterpretation of a Provençal sweet. On the menu they come in foie gras with melon gelée, tomato-citrus and basil, summer vegetables and zucchini with almond mousse or marinated anchovies with tomato-lemon mousse. And for dessert D’Choux, the exclusive little round pastries which come in different flavors.
