Travelwish: Hotel Max

A reason to visit Paris soon is to check into the new Hotel Max in the 14th arrondissement not far from Fred Hotel. The Hotel Max threw its doors open in July this year and has been welcoming guests ever since. It has the same owner as the Fred Hotel, which promises a thoughtful approach to design, sincere service and a homey stay no matter what the reason is for visit. Whether your trip to Paris is romantic, casual or involves a lot of shopping, Hotel Max will suit your needs.

The Hotel

The 19-room contemporary hotel has a small but inviting lobby with walls and floors in earth tones and sleek furniture. The rooms are designed with elegance and in unify with the colors of the lobby. Some even have a private terrace. Throughout the hotel you will stumble into (large) colorful art-pieces gracing the walls and in each room you will find a flat screen television with a variety of international channels to your disposal. Additionally there is free Wi-Fi in the hotel. Moreover, all rooms have a Nespresso machine, which is handy in case you prefer coffee in bed rather than at an old-fashioned coffee terrace. After a long day of wandering the streets you can relax and unwind under the rainfall shower. In the mornings you may munch away organic delights from the varied buffet breakfast while looking out over an inner garden.

Hotel Max is located not far from Parc Montsouris, which opened in 1878 and is one of the most colorful Parisian parks. I sense a great spot for a pick-nick. In case you want to wander into the depths of the city center you may take the metro at the station Alésia (200 meters away), which provides direct access to Montparnasse, Saint-Michel, Chatelet and Gare du Nord.
